METACORE is an Ancient Sci-Fi Co-op Shooter where you throw your crew into the action with the Core or pull them out of tricky situations to withstand the challenges of the mysterious ruins.
In the co-op shooter METACORE, you fight your way through destroyed desert temples on an alien planet with up to three other team members in search of your digital salvation.
At the beginning of a round, you select a new or already visited ruin and adapt your equipment to it. A special feature is the individual configuration of your Cores, small high-tech spheres that your player characters can dematerialize into and materialize out of at any time. In addition, they give you abilities that are especially powerful when used in a team.
In the ruins, dangerous obstacles and mechanical guardians of a lost civilization await you. Dematerialize into the Core and let your friends throw you to tactical positions, or directly into enemy groups to take them out.
After completing a ruin, you'll receive high-tech resources from the ancient civilization that you can use to upgrade your equipment and Cores. Customize them to define your role in the team.
The Cores provide unique player interaction and are the reason why teamplay is so damn fun in METACORE!
Amberdive Interactive formed in 2021 as a team of four HAW students to work on their shared vision of an action-packed co-op shooter. Their motto: maximize cooperative gameplay!
The team featuring Sarah Inés Roeder (Concept Art and 3D Modeling), Maximilian Götz (Lead Programming), Rody Nawezi (Programming & VFX) and Leonhard Gläser (3D Modeling & Level Design) has already worked on several game projects. For the production of METACORE Amberdive Interactive cooperates with further competences.
